NRP Projects

Collaborative Projects

The canton of Fribourg promotes business through collaborative projects designed to stimulate companies to innovate and create value. The canton’s New Regional Policy (NRP) program (see PMO NRP 2020-2023) includes support from INNOSQUARE in implementing collaborative projects supported by an NRP grant fund to finance both sectorial and multi-sectorial projects:

Sectorial collaborative projects (PCS)

With the support of a public research entity, sectorial collaborative projects aim to solve a technological challenge or create a new value chain. The technology innovation and pre-competitive challenge is defined by several companies in an industry sector. A new value chain is created with several companies to realize a product or service.

Sectorial collaborative projects receive a grant from the canton of Fribourg as part of the implementation of the NRP 2020-2023 program which plans to finance 15 to 18 sectorial collaborative projects with an NRP grant of up to CHF 150,000 per project

Multi-sectorial collaborative projects (PCM)

Multi-sectorial or transversal collaborative projects are part of a Smart Specialization strategy aimed at transforming the canton of Fribourg's existing resources to increase its competitiveness, stimulate business innovation and create jobs in new value chains.

Multi-sectorial collaborative projects receive a grant from the canton of Fribourg as part of the NRP 2020-2023 program. This program plans to finance 2 to 3 multi-sectorial collaborative projects with an NRP grant of up to CHF 300,000 per project.
